Our Story
Affordable Housing Solution Corporation has a long history of building and delivering high-quality, efficient buildings on time and within budget. This history allows us to carefully evaluate projects to ensure they integrate seamlessly into the existing local community while meeting the needs of future residents.
Our team brings decades of experience managing properties that are accessible to homebuyers earning a local living wage, much of which is focused on housing for seniors and people living with disabilities. We do so through first mortgages and guarantees, government-funded subsidies, forgivable capital loans, and private investments.
With more than dozens of housing projects completed, AHSC continues to hone our approach and deliver exceptional houses that people love to call home.

Founder
Josef Ger
Josef Ger is the founder and CEO of the Senior Living Group of Companies (SLG) and has had a distinguished and successful 30-year career as a principal and advisor in the seniors’ housing management and real estate development sectors. Josef co-founded AHSC, a newly added member of the Group. SLG specializes in the senior housing market and advises numerous operators, developers, not-for-profit organizations, and financial institutions on planning, developing, marketing, and operating various specialized housing projects throughout Canada. Central to the group’s focus is to create residential environments that appeal to the local community and become integral venues for social and entertainment functions, thereby bringing the spirit and essence of the community with them. The results are unique functional environments that fully reflect the communities that they serve.
Founder
Lawson Gay
Gay Company Limited was founded in 1908 and has operated for over 100 years. The company started in the early 1900s as a builder of barns and houses and, over the years, has gradually come to specialize in all areas of the building industry, from New Commercial, Residential and Industrial buildings to Demolitions, Restorations and Renovations of buildings of all sorts including extensive Tenant Improvements. Since its incorporation in 1971, Gay Company Limited has built over 5,100,000 sq. ft. of commercial buildings, over 1,700,000 sq. ft. of industrial space, over 1,630,000 sq. ft. of institutional buildings and more than 400 subdivisions and custom homes.

Andy Bicanic
Andy Bicanic is a senior real estate executive with extensive experience across real estate development, capital structuring, and asset operations. Serving as Chief Operating Officer & Chief Development Officer at Affordable Housing Solutions Corporation (AHSC), he leads the end-to-end strategy to manage and scale purpose-built rental communities across Ontario, driving operational performance, lease-up velocity, and asset yield protection.

Susan Radun
Susan Radun is a Senior Executive focused on strategically positioning projects and directing leasing and sales initiatives. With a career spanning 30+ years, her experience ranges from retail leasing, franchising and development to leasing and sales and specialized interior design of residential projects aimed at senior retirement communities throughout Canada.
Development Coordinator
Janice Tozak
Janice has 22 years of experience in the senior housing industry. Her specific experience includes coordinating land development, construction, product procurement, budget management, and post-construction customer service.
